The Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association candidature to host the World Scout Jamboree in 2023

On 31 August 2015, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Grzegorz Schetyna and hm. Małgorzata Sinica signed the letter of intent concerning promotional campaign of ZHP’s candidature to organise World Scout Jamboree in Poland.

The support for this prominent educational initiative is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the field of the public diplomacy. Promotion of Poland among scouting world, from which many leaders of public opinion originate, will contribute to importance and recognition among the whole world.- said the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In the letter, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared its support in the process of preparing and implementing actions that are to win the international support in organising the World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2023.

During the two years of candidature, promoting ZHP and the city of Gdańsk will be very crucial. The hosting city for 25th World Scout Jamboree will be chosen in August 2017 in Azerbaijan during the 41st World Scout Conference.
