GUARANTEES & FINANCES
The World Scout Jamboree must have secure event budget. That’s why we already gatherd number of guarantees and signed the agreement between ZHP and Gdańsk – possible host city of the 25th World Scout Jamboree.
WHAT WE ALREADY ACHIVED
FINANCES AND BUDGETING
In order to facilitate attendance in Jamboree 2023 to as many National Scout Organisations as possible, we are planning to carry out Jamboree Solidarity Operation in line with the previous fundraising initiatives. The funds raised as a result of the SO are going to be distributed following consultations with WOSM Regional Support Centres to cover the cost of participation for Scouts from the NSOs which have no possibility to send Scouts to the Jamboree otherwise
Adhering to the past practice, assistance is going to be allocated to the NSOs from WOSM’s countries in most dire need of financial support. The other two pillars are: Donors Programme and Economic Activation Programme. The expected outcome of the Solidarity Operation is to increase the number of Jamboree 2023 Participants from the countries which have no possibility to send Scouts to the event otherwise.
ECONOMIC ACTIVATION PROGRAMME
To provide the Jamboree Participants with a just level of participation fee, we are considering to make its amount dependent on the actual amount of the estimated event’ costs and the GDP level per capita of the country where the NSO originates from. Dependency of participation fee on the GDP per capita criterion reflects the WOSM method of calculating membership fees. Hence, depending on the country category, the NSOs shall be expected to pay the fee accordingly:
25% of the average Participant’s fee for category A
50% of the average Participant’s fee for category B
75% of the average Participant’s fee for category C
100% of the average Participant’s fee for category D
