In the mid of November the members of Jamboree Project Team went to Denmark to meet the organizers of Jamboree Denmark 2017. This will be the largest Jamboree in Denmark where 40 000 Danish and international scouts and guides will meet in the scenic surroundings of Sønderborg from July 22nd to July 30th 2017. The aim of the meeting was to exchange the experiences of organising an event that is in number similar to World Scout Jamboree.
The meeting was attended by members and leaders of working groups of architecture, logistics, programme and also a representative of International Contact Group. All conversations went very well and were full of details useful during preparations to organise the World Scout Jamboree. Danish scouts were willing to share their knowledge and experience. The members of JPT are also preparing to work as International Service Team during the Jamboree Denmark 2017.
Jamboree Denmark 2017 is a Jamboree of five different Danish scout and guide organizations. The theme of the Jamboree is ‘We leave impressions’. As they say: ‘With Jamboree Denmark 2017 we want to leave impressions in ourselves, each other and the world around us. This is our vision. We are looking forward to living out this vision with all of you.’
