Kraków-Częstochowa Upland

There’s not much rock in Poland. North of the country is flat, further south higher and steeper it becomes, all the way to High Tatra Mountains. And right before magnificent granite mountains lies limestone upland, called Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. Paradise for climbers and nature lovers.

Bright white rock with up to 60m high walls creates small valleys spread around that area. It has been climbed since 1914 and developed by every generation of climbers.

This long and narrow area between Kraków and Częstochowa is also full of old castles, forests, villages, and farms.
